The plus side of nagging

We all know the stereotype: nagging wife, meek husband. Bad, right? But a new US study shows that there are benefits to nagging: apparently, men who live with a woman are 40% more likely than men who live alone to get screened for prostate cancer.

The study's authors conclude that it's the women in these men's lives who are encouraging them to go to the doctor and therefore get screened for prostate cancer as well as other diseases, while men who live alone are likely to put off visits to their physician.

So there you have it. Nagging isn't the best behaviour, but sometimes it can have good results. (For more, learn about how his diet and lifestyle choices can significantly reduce his risk of getting prostate cancer.)
