Get sleek hair for fall
During the summer I like to let my naturally wavy hair do its own thing—you know, in the mode of what the hair care companies call “beach-y waves” and what I call “I-give-up-and-I-don’t-care.” But come fall, when fashion gets more polished, the call of the blow dryer beckons.
Matrix, a salon hair care line, has just launched shampoo, conditioners and styling products called Sleek.Look (this speaks to me), with ceramide, apricot oil, shea butter and smoothing and conditioning agents. Blow Down—how’s that for a name?— are smoothing styling products in the line (Lite Lotion for fine or normal hair or Extreme Crème for coarse or thick hair) that promise to “decrease blow-dry time, increase high heat appliance protection and provide long-lasting style memory.” Sleek.Look shampoo and conditioner are $16 and $17 respectively for 400 mL each, and the Blow Down lotion and crème are $17 each for 150 mL.
