Fight cavities—with gum?
It sounds like '50s sci-fi, but the science is solid: Trident has introduced a gum that actually strengthens tooth enamel to prevent cavities.
Trident Xtra Care with Recaldent, available in Peppermint, Spearmint and Passionberry, has apparently been in the works for a decade. Recaldent is a calcium derivative that has been shown to remineralize teeth, making them stronger and more resistant to decay, and Trident is currently the only gum that contains it. By chewing the gum daily, you'll be counteracting the demineralizing effects that some foods and drinks can have on your teeth.
Have you tried this gum? What do you think?

Does anyone know if this gum has aspartame? That's my biggest concern when I'm looking for a gum...The only one I was able to find was from Arm & Hammer but I think they discontinued it. :(
Cavities are not nearly the problem that they once were. Many people live into their adulthood without ever getting cavities due to good brushing and flossing habits. A better way to avoid cavities is to eat healthy and avold foods such as sugar, and brush and floss regularly. I am 40 and have followed this regimen all my life, and have zero cavities. I am not interested in introducing yet another chemical into my body that a company tells me is good for me. I have come to the point where I just don't trust these folks.
Thanks,
Mike
